Terms of service

Pre-launch notice: these terms are pending review by legal counsel before public launch. They describe our intended posture; they are not yet a final operative agreement.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using RentSelect ("Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post fraudulent, duplicate, or misleading listings
- Discriminate against renters in violation of applicable law
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service
- Misrepresent identity or impersonate another person or entity
- Solicit payment outside the rental transaction itself
4. Listings
Landlords are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. RentSelect does not guarantee any listing's availability, condition, or legal compliance.
5. Quebec
The Service does not currently operate in Quebec. Listings, accounts, and related activity tied to Quebec addresses are not supported.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably suspect of fraud.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentSelect's total liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Service is limited to CAD $100.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
